ABOUT US
Hey, I'm Brent...
...the guy behind Aussie Dadding and I’d like to introduce myself, let you in on a bit about who I am, and the drive behind what we're doing here.
I became a dad early – at 23 to be exact – and I immediately knew that I was going to be great at it. I wanted to do everything right and be the best dad I could for my son. Reflecting back on that time, I now realise how far from perfect I was, and I could never comprehend how much there was to know about parenting and fatherhood. Not to mention how much wisdom I was going to develop and how much adversity I would encounter along the way.
Fast forward, and life with my beautiful wife has brought two more kids into the mix. I've got years of dad-life under my belt, yet I'm always aware of my 'blind spots' – those flaws I know about and the ones I'm still oblivious to. But the drive to be a better dad each day never wanes, and the learning never stops.
I've talked with many dads out there and it's clear we're all sailing similar seas. We've all got gaps in our know-how, no matter the starting point. That's why I created Aussie Dadding – to make fatherhood a bit easier for those dads keen to do great but maybe lacking some know-how. It's a place for tips, growth, and real chats about the ups and downs of dad life.
We're here to foster real connections, helping dads get closer to their kids, making families happier, and by extension, strengthening our communities in Australia. We're about more than content; we're about support, guidance, and answering those "what's the right thing to do today?" questions.
